Lyrics

What shall we do with the Witches and the Wolves?
They are waiting. They are waiting.
I can see them scheme on my television screen.
They are watching. They are waiting...
for the right time.

This head is going to explode into a thousand pieces.
Unless this constant paranoia ever ceases.
I'm sleeping with the fishes.
I'm sleeping with the fishes.

Don't let your kids go exploring in the woods.
They are waiting. They are waiting.
We all know the one about the girl in the red hood.
They are watching. They are waiting.
Here they come.

I scratch like a dog with an itch that fails to go away.
These fleas are all over me and they're hearing all I say.
I'm walking on a frozen lake.
I'm walking on a fatal, frozen lake.

Trespass into my dream.
I'll show you everything.
I'll show you everything.
Trespass into my dream.
I'll show you everything.
I'll show you everything.
Then I'll leave you to the Wolves.

This song was written in 2006 when things were different. Since then, there have been considerable changes (good & bad) both here and overseas. But the relevance remains.

There were, I think, two earlier attempts at recording this song, but the this final version was started on 1st January 2009 and wrapped up in the days that followed.

Matt Shaw had heard the results and recently suggested releasing it as a single. I thought this was a very good idea.

The video contains footage from the film 'M' (1931), directed by Fritz Lang. I had been approaching animators, the kind that work with clay, but the majority of them wanted large ammounts of money (which is understandable). I didn't want to film (or animate) a video myself. For a start, I don't have a camera. I decided to use footage from films that are now in the public domain.

The 'Little Girl Remix' was made by Verily Muisc - September 2009.

THANK YOUS...
